I was fortunate to have had another opportunity to be with other wonderful ladies for an afternoon of catching up, getting to know more of each other, giggles, doodles and, oh yes, painting. I was with Van of Shed Mom (http://www.shedmom.com/) and Racquel of Beyond Books and Walls (http://beyondbooksandwalls.com/).
Skills and talents were optional. We just wanted to get together and play with our toys and check out each other’s projects. It was also an opportunity for show and tell. Here’s a sample of the stash I brought for show and tell:
1. My Project Life 2012 – A collection of our family’s memories for (almost) every week of 2012
2. Art Journal from Brene Brown’s Gifts of Imperfection e-course
3. Various new art supplies I was able to buy last year. These include (from L to R): Sakura Koi Coloring Brush Pens (12 colors); Ecoline liquid water colors; Smiggle mini gel ink pens (24 colors); Sakura Pigma Micron Pens and Brush Pen; Go Palm Thread Sew Bind Notebook (400 pages); Derwent Watersoluble Metallic Pencils (12 colors)
4. Sakura Koi Water Colors Pocket Field Sketch Box (18 colors) and various brands of water brushes
We had our painting playdate in Early Bird Breakfast Club in Taguig City (http://www.earlybirdbreakfastclub.com/). Great food by the way!
We missed some of our playmates who weren’t able to make it but there’s definitely going to be a next time. Looking forward to our next playdate!
